DAILYCANDY Names Alexa Wilson VP of Marketing

DailyCandy, the original trusted source for expertly curated discoveries of fashion, food, and fun, today announced Alexa Wilson as its Vice President of Marketing. Wilson joins from Hearst Design Group where she was Executive Director of Marketing overseeing brand marketing and audience growth for Elle Decor, House Beautiful and VerandA. Wilson will report to Alison Moore, DailyCandy's newly appointed general manager and executive vice president who joined the company in November 2012 from HBO.

"Alexa brings vibrant energy to DailyCandy with her extensive marketing experience creating dynamic, immersive, and brand forward events to drive consumer engagement and buzz," said Alison Moore of DailyCandy. "Her vision and proven ability to drive strong multiplatform audience growth and revenue opportunities will be a huge asset to us."

Wilson will be responsible for developing and leading all consumer and brand marketing initiatives for DailyCandy across every consumer touchpoint: mobile, web, social, email, strategic partnerships, events and promotions. Wilson will also develop advertising campaigns, media strategies and marketing programs in support of DailyCandy's evolving commerce platform including its newly announced designer collaborations series, DailyCandy Collaborations.

While at Hearst, Wilson launched Veranda magazine's first concept showcase, "The House of Windsor," a 10,000 square foot equestrian estate in Brentwood, CA, which became a magazine feature and, in partnership with One King's Lane, an e-commerce opportunity for readers. At Elle Decor, she led the marketing efforts for tentpole programs"Modern Life Concept House," and the magazine's first retail collaboration with Bloomingdale's, "Design Innovators'" shop, an Elle Decor branded store. For Marie Claire, Wilson launched multiple platforms, including "All Access Women," a consumer insights study reporting on the state of women as purchase decision makers, and the "Beauty Today" retail program in partnership with Walgreens. Additionally, she managed the publication's strategic partnership with Project Runway.

Prior to Hearst, Wilson held marketing positions at Elle, Men's Health, Fast Company and various Time Inc. publications. Wilson holds a Bachelor of Arts from New York University for art history and lives in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood.
