CBS's LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT Delivers Largest Weekly Audience Since February

CBS's two new late night franchises both delivered their largest weekly audiences in several months, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending May 6.
THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT averaged 2.573 million viewers, its largest audience since the week ending Feb. 19. In adults 18-49, LATE SHOW averaged 0.5, steady with its weekly average over the last 11 weeks. Season-to-date, LATE SHOW is up +40% in adults 18-49 (0.7/03 from 0.5/02), +33% in adults 18-34 (0.4/03 from 0.3/02), +29% in adults 25-54 (0.9/04 from 0.7/03) and +3% in viewers (2.90m from 2.83m). It is the only 11:35 PM late night show to post gains in viewers and key demos season-to-date. THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN averaged 1.27 million viewers, its biggest weekly audience since the week ending March 18. Among adults 18-49, THE LATE LATE SHOW averaged 0.3, matching its rating of the last 11 weeks.THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT premiered on Tuesday, Sept. 8 on CBS.The show is broadcast from the historic Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City.
A multi-talented and respected host, writer, producer, satirist and comedian, Colbert is well-known for his previous late night show, "The Colbert Report," which concluded on Friday, Dec. 18, 2014. The program received wide-spread critical acclaim and earned two Peabody Awards and 29 Emmy Award nominations, including two Emmy wins for Outstanding Variety Series (2013, 2014) and four Emmy wins for Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Program (2008, 2010, 2013, 2014). Prior to that, Colbert spent eight years as a correspondent on Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" as an on-air personality and writer of news satire for the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning series.
