CBS led all networks with 14 wins at the "41st Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards" broadcast and creative ceremonies this weekend. THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, television's #1 daytime drama, won its eighth Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series. Dominating the broadcast categories with six wins, in addition to three creative Emmys Awards, The Young and the Restless celebrated its best awards season in the show's 41-year history.
THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL claimed four creative Emmy Awards, more than any other daytime drama, and LET'S MAKE A DEAL received the show's first Emmy Award, for Outstanding Original Song, "30,000 Reasons to Love Me." Other top wins for The Young and the Restless include Outstanding Lead Actor Billy Miller; Outstanding Supporting Actress Amelia Heinle; and Outstanding Younger Actress Hunter King. The Young and the Restless also received an Emmy Award in the category of Outstanding Special Class Special for its tribute to actress Jeanne Cooper, one of the show's most beloved and longest-serving actresses, who passed away last year.
