Bailey Edwards to Lead Independent Psychological Thriller M.O.M. (MOTHERS OF MONSTERS)
Bailey Edwards, son of actor and director Anthony Edwards has announced his lead role in independent psychological thriller, "M.O.M." (Mothers of Monsters). The film is about a single mother who suspects her son is a psychopath capable of murder. When he slips through the cracks of the system she is forced to take matters into her own hands.
Independent feature film "M.O.M." (Mothers of Monsters) has been announced, with a lead role being played by Bailey Edwards, Anthony Edwards' son. This is a breakout role for Bailey Edwards and he is determined to be a self-made actor, which can be challenging with a famous father. Bailey was quoted saying, "I realized about half way through the audition process that the producers had no idea Anthony Edwards was my dad and because it can sometimes be rare to be seen just as me I decided to keep it to myself for the rest of the chemistry tests. It wasn't until after I was offered the part that I finally brought it up and the fact that they didn't know gave me much more ownership over the role." https://www.mothersofmonsters.com/ The film has a very relevant social theme, especially considering the recent momentum of the "enough is enough" movement. M.O.M. wrapped principal photography the same week as the tragic Parkland Florida school shooting and is currently in post-production, seeking distribution. Mothers of Monsters is the first directing project of Tucia Lyman who has 15 years of experience writing and directing programs seen on Discovery Channel, TLC, Syfy, National Geographic, Destination America and the Travel Channel. For the making of M.O.M. she teamed up with a powerhouse of like-minded women to tackle the difficult subject matter of the film. Her goal with this project is to tap into the younger audience and hopefully give them a good movie experience as well as to keep the conversation going about gun violence, school shootings and stigma surrounding mental health in America.Related Stories
