Secrets get out, a meta-human sibling vows revenge and a member of Team Flash bites the dust. Spoilers galore. We'll get you up to speed on "Out of Time."

We open on the calm before the storm. Barry (Grant Gustin) is out on a date with Linda Park (Malese Jow). He takes her to the bowling alley that was a favorite of his growing up. Surprise surprise. He runs into Iris (Candice Patton) and Eddie (Rick Cosnett), who are also on a date. Iris invites them to join them. Barry and Iris obviously share a connection and it pisses off both Eddie and Linda.

The villain of the week is Mark Mardon (aka the Weather Wizard, played by Liam McIntyre). Wait a minute, you're thinking. Didn't we see the Weather Wizard in the first episode and wasn't he killed? Yes, we did and yes he was. Mark is his brother. They were both in the airplane the night it was struck with lightning and both were given the ability to control the weather. Mark wastes no time in discovering who killed his brother (Joe West, played by Jesse L. Martin).

Barry is with Joe when Mark makes his first attempt on Joe's life (he tries to zap him with a bolt of lightning when Joe's car is stopped). Barry wisks Joe to safety.

Later, a second attempt at Joe's life at the precinct (again, lightning) has Captain Singh (Patrick Sabongui) pushing Joe out of the way and taking the full impact of the blast. It leaves him hospitalized and possibly paralyzed.

Mark eventually kidnaps Joe, calls Iris and tells her to meet them on the pier where he is keeping Joe. His plan is to kill the whole West family. Of course, Barry accompanies her. Mark sends a tsunami towards the city, forcing Barry to reveal to Iris he is THE FLASH and he speeds around the tsunami in an attempt to reverse it.

Frankly, the whole Weather Wizard revenge plot takes backseat to the revelation of Harrison Wells' secret. Iris' newspaper mentor Mason Bridge (Roger Howarth) is still convinced there is more to Wells (tom Cavanagh).

And he isn't the only one. Cisco (Carlos Valdes) is also suspicious and has Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) keep Wells away from S.T.A.R. Labs. While there alone, he goes through the data from the containment field that was supposed to catch Reverse Flash. Wells has programmed a hologram of Reverse Flash into the containment field and was actually never trapped.

Back at the coffee shop, Wells is through with Caitlin stalling him and asks her to get the coffee to go. When she turns back around with the to-go cups, there is an empty wheelchair.

Wells has used his super speed to confrom Cisco in the lab. Wells reveals he is actually a distant relative of Iris' boyfriend, Detective Eddie Thawne. That's right, Wells is from the future and is really Eobard Thawne. He has spent the last 15 years stuck in this time and needs Scarlet Speedster's abilities to get back to his own time. Cisco tears up. Not only has his idol revealed that he is in fact a murderer, Cisco knows that Reverse Flash isn't just going to let him go on living with this information. Thawne plunges his hand into Cisco's chest and kills him.

The episode ends with Barry still speeding along, trying to stop the tsunami. He realizes he is no longer running on the lakefront, but is in fact in the middle of the city. He has managed to go back in time.

And with that, the shocking episode comes to an end. What did you think? Comment below and follow me @triggercric and follow @BWWTVWorld for all the latest updates, scoops and recaps.
