As the network continues to ramp up its original programming amid its record-ratings streak, Bravo Media promoted Andy Cohen to Executive Vice President, Original Programming and Development.  The announcement was made today by Frances Berwick, President, Bravo Media.  Cohen will continue to report to Berwick and will be based in New York.

"Under Andy's leadership and industry expertise, Bravo has enjoyed record ratings and an increase in original programming while attracting the most affluent and educated audience in cable entertainment," said Berwick.  "With this well-deserved promotion, tirelessly wearing two hats, I have no doubt that he will continue successfully to drive the next cultural hits for Bravo, as well as host the popular interactive hit show, "Watch What Happens: Live."

As Executive Vice President, Cohen will continue to oversee the network's current development and production slate coming out of the East and West Coast departments of over two dozen shows, including hits such as the Primetime Emmy and James Beard award-winning "Top Chef," "Top Chef Masters," "The Real Housewives" franchise, "Work of Art: The Next Great Artist," "The Millionaire Matchmaker," "Million Dollar Listing," "The Rachel Zoe Project," "The Fashion Show," "Bethenny Ever After," "Tabatha's Salon Takeover" and "Flipping Out."

In addition, Cohen will continue as host and Executive Producer of "Watch What Happens: Live," Bravo's late night, interactive, weekly talk show that features guests from some of Bravo's most popular series, as well as from the world of entertainment, politics and pop culture. Enjoying season highs through 19 episodes, season three of WWHL is averaging over 1.2 million total viewers.  Cohen also will host the reunion specials and will continue to write "Andy's Blog," posted daily on BravoTV.com where he covers pop culture, television, media, and his daily life.

Cohen was previously Senior Vice President, Original Programming and Development.  Since starting at Bravo in 2005, he has overseen an aggressive slate of unscripted series and specials including past hits "Project Runway," "Queer Eye," "Work Out," "Being Bobby Brown," "Top Design," "Make Me a Supermodel," "Blow Out" and "The A List Awards".

Prior to Bravo, Cohen was Vice President of Original Programming for TRIO (pop, culture, tv), beginning in July 2000. He was responsible for developing and supervising all of TRIO's original productions including the critically acclaimed original documentaries "Gay Republicans," "Easy Riders/Raging Bulls," "Brilliant, But Cancelled," and the critically-lauded original series "Pilot Season, "24w/" and "Parking Lot."

He has been featured regularly on The Today Show and Joy Behar. In 2009 he appeared on the cover of The Advocate and was profiled in New York Magazine, The New York Times, the LA Times, and Entertainment Weekly. In June 2010, he was listed as one of TV Guide's "25 Most Influential People in Television." OUT Magazine put Cohen on their OUT 100 List in 2008, and named him "hottest blogger of 2006" in their annual "hot" issue and in 2007, Cohen was named one of Multichannel News' "40 Under 40" innovative and formative executives at work today.

Prior to working at TRIO, Cohen spent 10 years at CBS News', where he last served as Senior Producer of "The Early Show," overseeing the production of entertainment segments.
