48 HOURS: THE WAR IN CHICAGO Takes Saturday in A25-54, A18-49

By:

48 Hours SPECIAL: "The War in Chicago" (10:00-11:00 PM) was first in both adults 25-54 (1.1/03, tied ABC) - the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news - and adults 18-49 (0.8/03, tied ABC), according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for May 18, 2013. 48 Hours posted a 2.7/05 in households with 3.88m viewers.

Saturday's broadcast was the result of a six-month investigation into the forces behind Chicago's murder rate. Correspondents Maureen Maher and Armen Keteyian reported a deadly link between street violence in America's third-largest city and drug trafficking into the city and in the suburbs. 48 Hours SPECIAL: "The War in Chicago" also focused on what residents, city officials and the Drug Enforcement Administration are doing to fight back.

48 HOURS SPECIAL: "The War in Chicago" is produced by Josh Yager, Doug Longhini, Josh Gaynor, Kathleen O'Connell, Marcelena Spencer and Stephen McCain. Alicia Tejada is the associate producer. Mike McHugh is the producer-editor. David Franklin, Grayce Arlotta-Berner, Jud Johnston and Mike Mongulla are the editors. Al Briganti is the executive editor. Susan Zirinsky is the senior executive producer.
