Washington, DC Summer Savings Discount Hotel Rooms 20-25%

Today Destination DC, the official tourism and marketing office for the nation's capital, announces their summer promotion: Select hotels will reward visitors staying in the District two or more nights with deep discounts. This seasonal incentive: 20% off on two-night accommodations and 25% off rooms booked for three or more nights will be available May 23-September 8, 2013. Additionally Washington, DC VIP discounts will be offered at over 40 participating attractions, live theaters, restaurants and tour companies in a show-your-badge style campaign. "A great summer vacation in Washington, DC begins with easy to activate hotel room discounts," said Elliott L. Ferguson, president and CEO of Destination DC. "Book a room on Washington.org, select your discount and soak up the season at the DC Jazz Festival or the soccer match between the United States and Germany men's teams in June. With rates cut by as much as 25%, visitors can afford to return for a signature celebration like the Fourth of July fireworks and again for a once-in-a-lifetime event such as the 50 th Anniversary of the March on Washington in August."

To become a DC VIP, a traveler must first book a room on Washington.org, and then download the pass on Washington.org. To activate these discounts, visitors must present their room key and either a printed copy of the Washington, DC VIP pass or display their confirmation on a smart phone or tablet at participating vendors' points of sale.
