Renaissance Chicago Downtown Announces Holiday Offerings

Kicking off the line-up is Renaissance's Home for the Holidays event on Tuesday, December 1st from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Guests are invited to celebrate the holiday traditions of local Chicago neighborhoods and cultures, such as Little Italy and Greektown. Featured sweet and savory edibles include pierogis, sous vide short rib, and whipped sour cream. The night will also feature live music from local acoustic artist Seth Bradley.
Get ahead on gift wrapping at Renaissance's Gift Wrap event on Wednesday, December 9th and 16th from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. For only $25, the Renaissance team will wrap guests' gifts (up to two gifts) while guests relax and sip on delicious libations at Staytion in the hotel's lobby.
Take Wine Wednesday to the next level with Renaissance's Bites After-Dark event, taking place Wednesday, December 16th from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the hotel's Pedway. Guests are invited to delight in samples of favorite bites and sips from Staytion, with sounds by Acoustic Generation.
Escape the holiday madness on Tuesday December 22nd from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Renaissance's Festivus Eve event. Guests can sip on cocktail specials while dancing away the holiday craziness with beats by DJ Wav in the Artist Studio. Specialty cocktails include the Festivous Pole, a play on a Rusty Nail, featuring Glenlivet Scotch, Drambuie, Luxardo, lemon, cherry, and old fashioned bitters ($8), The 'Airing of Grievances', a Rum Flip Cocktail made with Zaya 12 year old rum, Pimento Dram, Sugar and Nutmeg, the anti-eggnog ($12), and The 'Feats of Strength', a shot of Fernet-Branca and a Bourbon Barrel Dragon's Milk Draft 11% ABV ($12).
Ring in The New Year in style at Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel's all day celebration on Thursday, December 31st. Renaissance will offer pub food and NFL & college football viewing throughout the day, followed by live music from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and by beats by DJ Wav from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. New Year's Eve revelers can toast to 2016 with an array of Champagne choices including Nicolas Feuillatte 187, Cristal, Moët Chandon, and Veuve Clicquot, complemented by a special Charcuterie Cart (pricing for the charcuterie is based on consumption).
In addition to the exciting one-night events, Renaissance entertains guests all month long with Staytion's Daily Bar Ritual, held every Monday through Thursday at 6 p.m., when an initiation bell rings to signify that the work day is over and Happy Hour has begun. An interactive event for guests to watch, the mixologist creates a special punch made with all local and seasonal products. Once ready, it is served complimentary for guests until the punch runs out.
