Palmer House Hilton to Host Big Night America's Halloween Masquerade

The Palmer House Hilton is proud to announce the inaugural Big Night America's Halloween Masquerade, Saturday, Oct. 31, from 7:30 - 11:30 p.m. in historic Empire Room at the Palmer House Hilton, 17 E. Monroe Street. Events take place throughout the hip & historic Palmer House with ticket prices at $129.99 per person. The Halloween Masquerade includes a full dinner buffet, dancing into the night with a New Orleans brass band, a hosted bar between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m., reserved seating and a best masked contest. The dress code is upscale/semi-formal or formal and a mask is mandatory. This event is for guests 21 years old or older.

Butternut squash and jona apple bisque with cinnamon cream

Salad

Garden salad bar, assorted local greens, seasonal toppings, Maple balsamic and gingerbread dressing

Entrées

Grilled salmon with bourbon glaze and acorn squash brunoise

72-hour short ribs, roasted brussel sprouts and parsnip cream

Breast of chicken, roof tops herbs, Nancy's Camembert and pan drippings

Compressed Yukon gold and sweet potato casserole with nutmeg

Grilled asparagus, tri-color carrots, roof top honey and dill glaze

Dessert

Palmer House brownies and Halloween themed sweets

The Empire Room was first opened in 1925 as an elegant dining room and immediately brought in large crowds wanting to experience an unforgettable evening. The Empire Room continues to maintain the elegance that identified it as a premiere café society nightclub of days gone by. The room's glamorous design can immediately be seen as a staircase inspired by the Paris Opera leads directly from the lobby of the Palmer House to the Empire Room. It has been said by many that walking in to the Empire Room is like taking a step back in time. The 20th century's great entertainment luminaries from Tony Bennett to Carol Channing have all performed there.
