Bicycle Adventures (http://bicycleadventures.com/), an award-winning Pacific Northwest-based active travel company specializing in two-wheel tours in North America and abroad, is offering two new 10-day, West Coast tours departing Nov. 19, 2015, specifically targeting Chinese-speaking visitors.
The tours are being led by travel writer Joshua Samuel Brown. Brown is the author of over a dozen travel guides for Lonely Planet, including recent guides to Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia. In addition to being a lifelong cyclist, Brown is fluent in Mandarin and is looking forward to acting as guide and interpreter to visitors from Taiwan and China. While the cycle tours share similar routes, various lodging and dining selections differ. The per person, double occupancy rate for the cost-saving Southern California Frugal Tour is $4,775; for the high-end Southern California Tour the rate is $5,825. The tours run concurrently. Included in the rates of each tour are most meals, lodging, bicycles and the en-route translation services of Brown. "Having spent the better part of two decades being introduced by locals in Asia to the best of what their countries have to offer, I'm looking forward to returning the favor and acting as guide and translator to Chinese-speaking visitors," says Brown. "I've spent a fair bit of time in Southern California and know the area has a lot to offer. Beautiful landscapes, deserts, beaches, hot springs. Excellent cuisine, and of course, shopping. Being able to facilitate a trip like this on a bicycle, speaking Chinese all the while...well, it's kind of a dream job."Videos
