Moab Adventure Center Inducted Into TripAdvisor's Hall of Fame

Utah's one-stop, go-to source for multi-activity outdoor adventure, Moab Adventure Center, has just received its fifth consecutive TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence award for its active Day Tours which automatically inducts them into the world's largest travel site's "Hall of Fame."

This Moab-based business also just received its 12th consecutive Best of State Award for Adventure Travel from the State of Utah (http://bestofstate.org/index.html). This is Utah's premier recognition and awards program created to recognize outstanding individuals, organizations and businesses throughout the state.

The annual accolades date to Moab Adventure Center's creation in 2004 when its parent company Western River Expeditions recognized that travelers needed a truly convenient location and website to plan a myriad of adventures available in the Moab area. Today MAC's offerings include national park explorations, day trips, multi-day adventures and packages that combine lodging and activities.

TripAdvisor's Certificate of Excellence award celebrates excellence in hospitality and is given only to establishments that consistently achieve great traveler reviews on TripAdvisor. The 'Hall of Fame' was created to honor those businesses that have earned a Certificate of Excellence for five consecutive years. Winners include accommodations, eateries and attractions located all over the world that have continually delivered a superior customer experience.

When selecting Certificate of Excellence winners, TripAdvisor uses a proprietary algorithm to determine the honorees that takes into account, among others, the quality and quantity of reviews and opinions submitted by travelers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period as well as business's tenure and ranking on the Popularity Index on the site. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.
