Another popular "Wine Down Friday" begins at 5:00 inside Gallery 50 on the evening of Friday, February 21. Two of the three members of "Mountain Air" will fill the room with a blend of acoustic contemporary folk and pop country music while guests enjoy wine, light refreshments and no shortage of elegant artwork.
Fans of food, wine and good music may also want to stop by 42 West ARTS Co-Op on Friday night. Tom McFarland will be playing folk songs and jazz tunes from 6:00 - 8:00.
Children are invited to The Ceramic Arts Center of Waynesboro on Saturday afternoon. Nickole Bricker will be teaching a class about coil pottery, and participants will have a chance to create a piece of their own. The lesson is scheduled to run from 1:00 - 3:00, with a cost of $25 per student.
Also on Saturday - Artist Barb Peshkin will be at 42 West ARTS Co-Op between the hours of 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. She'll use gouache paints to demonstrate medieval-style illumination, and the art of calligraphy will also be covered.
