Bergen Family Center to Open Prom Pop-Up Shop for Local Teens

The third annual Free Prom Pop-Up Shop will take place on April 30th where young women will select a dress and accessories to attend their high school prom in style allowing them to feel pretty and confident without the financial burden.

Bergen Family Center volunteers have taken the initiative by gathering a selection of dresses, shoes, handbags from area residents and sponsors. The volunteers will be on-site assisting the girls in selecting the perfect dress, shoes, handbag, jewelry in addition to also securing some of New York's top makeup and hair stylists who be on-site offering complimentary consults to help the young ladies completely achieve their look.

The pop-up shop is an exciting opportunity for teenage girls to select a prom dress and accessories at no charge and sure to prepare the girls for a magical prom experience without the pressure of -"How do I pay for this?"

The Bergen Family Center would like to provide more dresses to more girls and can only do this with the help of the community. The Center is in need of gowns and dresses, size 10 and up, they can be new or gently worn. Also needed are shoes, costume jewelry and handbags. The Bergen Family Center volunteers make small differences that have huge impacts in the lives of the people they serve. Be a part of making young women feel empowered and help give every girl a chance to attend her prom by donating items or funds.
