The Metropolitan Opera’s 2026 Summer HD Festival returns to Lincoln Center Plaza Wednesday, September 2, through Monday, September 7. The free festival features five performances from the company’s celebrated The Met: Live in HD series—projected onto a large screen on the façade of the opera house—including three of this season’s new productions and two beloved classics: Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde, Bellini’s I Puritani, Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin, Gabriela Lena Frank and Nilo Cruz’s El Último Sueño de Frida y Diego, and Puccini’s La Bohème. The festival will commence with Yuval Sharon’s celebrated Met-debut staging of Wagner’s masterpiece, screened across two evenings.

Wagner’s transcendent meditation on love and death features a powerhouse pair as the Irish princess Isolde and the love-drunk Tristan in a revelatory new production by acclaimed director Yuval Sharon. Due to its extended run time, the performance will be offered over the course of two evenings.
