Christopher Feigum will make his Met debut as Jaroslav Prus in this evening's performance of Janácek's The Makropulos Case, replacing Johan Reuter, who is ill. 

In recent seasons, Feigum has sung the title role in Mozart's Don Giovanni (Tulsa Opera), Young Sam in Bernstein's A Quiet Place (New York City Opera), the title role in Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro (Opera Theatre of St. Louis), Escamillo in Bizet's Carmen (Utah Opera), and Figaro in Corigliano's The Ghosts of Versailles (Opera Theatre of St. Louis and Wexford Opera Festival).

The Makropulos Case, conducted by Jirí Behlolávek and directed by Elijah Moshinsky, also stars Karita Mattila as Emilia Marty, Richard Leech as Albert Gregor, and Tom Fox as Dr. Kolenaty.
