Antonin Scalia vs. Ruth Bader Ginsburg Inspire Opera on Supreme Disagreements

Justice Antonin Scalia and Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg share a mutual love of opera.

According to the Associated Press, award-winning composer Derrick Wang, is working on an opera entitled SCALIA/GINSBURG, "based on the justices' own words and using musical themes and styles of other composers from Verdi to Puccini and Bizet."

Wang had the Justices listen to portions of the opera after the Court handed down its decisions on gay marriage.

Derrick Wang graduated from the University of Maryland's Carey School of Law where they plan to premiere excerpts of the Opera in the Fall, the on to the Washington National Opera's young artists program.

Wang previewed his work in late June for a private viewing of two justices.
