Yumi Releases Debut Solo Track SIRENS Featuring Olmos

21-year-old Yumi brings all the feels on her first solo track, "Sirens," premiered on Earmilk. Yumi's vocals wash over you like a warm blanket, accompanied by blissful instrumentation from Olmos, making for an ethereal listening experience.

Sonically, Yumi's songs are a nod to the R&B music she grew up listening to, which includes the likes of Jill Scott, Lauryn Hill and Maxwell, modernized with alternative electronic stylings. SoundCloud played a crucial role in helping Yumi develop her own sound by allowing her to discover and connect with new producers, which is how she ultimately ended up collaborating with Olmos on "I'm Sorry." The single marked Yumi's first ever feature vocal performance, and after garnering early support from tastemaking YouTube channel La Belle Musique, has gone on to earn over half a million streams on Spotify.

On top of making her debut as a recording artist, Yumi is a plus-sized model signed to esteemed agency, Wilhelmina. She uses that platform in combination with her Instagram and YouTube accounts to promote body positivity and inspire self-confidence.
