Visual Arts Center to Host First Jazz in the Garden Concert, 7/7

The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey in Summit has announced its inaugural "Jazz in the Garden" concert slated for Thursday, July 7th at 6:30 pm. Pack a picnic, bring your family, and relax outside in the Art Center Garden as you listen to the Universal Temple of the Arts Jazz Ensemble perform a modern take on old American classics.

Band members are noted jazz musicians who have performed with jazz greats at notable venues across the country. The band includes David Jones, Pianist, Earl Sauls, Acoustic Bass, Sylvester "Sly" Scott, Saxophonist, and Darrell Smith, Band Leader.

Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or chairs, food and wine. Music starts at 7:00pm and all ages are welcome. The galleries will be open before the performance for a last chance to view our current exhibitions including Recharging the Image: Selections from the Mott-Warsh Collection (Flint, MI), Brooklyn artist Judith Henry's Me as Her, and Elizabeth Duffy's Maximum Security.
