Typhoid Rosie Ties You Up with New Video for 'Baby I Want You'
By: Caryn Robbins
TYPHOID ROSIE is BACK with their seductively captivating new video for "Baby I Want You." Offering up a unique blend of sultry Indie-Rock for your ears, the band entices with a steamy hint of Punk Rock. With their newest release in tow, Hearts Bleed Goodbye, the band has been garnering the praise of fans and critics alike.
For front-women Rosie Rebel, the inspiration of the video hits close to home. Inspired by a real-life stalker during her stand-up career, when it came time to making the "Baby I Want You" video, Rosie used her impressive professional experience from working on movies in the art department to enlist the help of some very talented friends and got to work on her band's latest endeavor. Rather than portraying more stereotypical images of tied up women -- like a true feminist she decided to reverse the stereotypical image roles and decided to do all the stalking and kidnapping herself. She called up her strapping actor friend Geronimo Frias who she met while working as prop master on a feature film called Obamaland, and also rounded up her art department pals Zackery Irick and Kira Bursky who without hesitation drove up from the Carolinas for the adventure of working on this this video.WATCH:

TYPHOID ROSIE is led by Rosie Rebel, also known for her pre-TYPHOID ROSIE work as a long-time comedian which has been talked about on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. She has appeared on NBC's Last Comic Standing, America's Got Talent, and Amateur Night at the Apollo, performed regularly at Carolines on Broadway, The Comedy Cellar, Comic Strip Live, Gotham Comedy Club, and the New York Underground Comedy Festival, and performed internationally, having toured the UK with featured performances at the Galway Comedy Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
In the midst of her rise in comedy, Rebel unintentionally discovered her knack for writing music while attending a music class at Columbia University. She later paired up with husband and drummer, Phil Wartell, to begin writing and producing; bringing TYPHOID ROSIE to life. After suffering the tragic loss of her mother, Rebel started to open her songs up to the world using music as a way to express her deepest emotions.
TYPHOID ROSIE's current live lineup consists of Rosie Rebel (vocals), Matt Kursmark (guitar), Phil Wartell (drums), Leah Farmer (keyboard), Chris Potter (guitar) and Steve Capecci (bass).
