The Rocketboys will release their third full-length, Certain Circles, on May 12, 2017. A seasoned and cohesive collection, Certain Circles combines the grandiosity of the band's debut 20,000 Ghosts, the soul of sophomore effort Build Anyway, and a sprinkling of their 2015 EP Left | Right's pop-sensibility. Their dynamic, expansive songs often outsize the clubs in which they're performed and have garnered The New York Times' apt description, "... sounds like an amped up Death Cab for Cutie with Coldplay-style melodies."

The album will be the first release for CandyShop Recordings, a new venture from industry vets Antony Bland and John Mathiason through Kobalt Music Recordings.

Fans who pre-order Certain Circles beginning Friday, April 21st will receive two free instant downloads of the tracks "You and Everyone Else" and "I Will Call You Home." Preorder details will be available on the band's website http://www.therocketboys.com.

The Austin, Texas group - Kinder, Wiseman, Campbell, and original drummer Philip Ellis -- recorded much ofCertain Circles themselves, but employed engineerKevin Butler (Black Books, Quiet Company) and Andy Freeman (Eisley, Manchester Orchestra) to mix. The end result sublimely captures the arc of the band's career in a neat 40-minute package.

The band's brief stint on an indie label in 2015, despite bringing notable accolades (their single "Viva Voce" was prominently featured on "Glee" and has over 1.4 million Spotify streams), left them never quite feeling comfortable in their own artistic skin. Once they parted ways, songs that had been set aside during that time resurfaced, and new songs were written with a focus on simply creating beautiful music.

"I wouldn't trade the experiences we've had for anything, because I think we've grown a lot as songwriters and musicians because of it," says Kinder. "I wanted to get back to that innocence, back to writing with our fans in mind, and not a dollar sign. It's why we love standing in front of a microphone and an audience-and it's why we keep chasing this dream."
