Percussion is everywhere in The Little Orchestra Society's (LOS) Lolli-Pops™ concert, Things That Go Bang! Enter a musical kitchen where Bang the Lion and Buzz the Bee cook up a rhythmic feast and teach kids that everyday household objects can make anyone a percussionist. The concert features music by Bizet, Britten, Gershwin, Ginastera, Shostakovich, Tchaikovsky and more. Kids will join in the fun and play tambourines, which they may keep, to "March of The Toreadors" from Carmen. Paul Haas is the guest conductor.

The concert is recommended for ages 3-5. Performances are at The Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College (695 Park Ave - 68th Street between Park and Lexington) today, November 10 at 10 am and 11:30 am and Sunday, November 11 at 1 pm and 2:30 pm.

Single tickets are $15 (rear balcony/rear orchestra) or $45 (front balcony/front orchestra). Six-concert subscriptions are $90 (rear balcony/rear orchestra) or $180 (front balcony/front orchestra). Tickets for a three-concert series are $45 (rear balcony/rear orchestra) or $99 (front balcony/front orchestra). All tickets are available by calling 212-971-9500 or at littleorchestra.org. You may also call The Kaye Playhouse box office at 212-772-4448.
