Fusing vintage instrumentation, bold electro-pop textures, and rugged beats with timeless Motown-tinged songcraft, The Gold Setting share new single "My Love" today with Dork. An after-hours jam, the track comes in anticipation of their debut Volume and Tone EP (out April 4th) and features vocals from frontwoman Liza Colby and Los Angeles-based producer/musician Godfrey At Large. Describing the track, Liza comments:
"A throw back to Motown song with an updated feel and a Cali groove. Godfrey At Large featured on the track makes it a panty dropper, baby making, love duet. Dripping wet with a Barry Sax solo and horn arrangements to die for." Volume and Tone boasts a fluid cast of all-stars including Todd Simon (Ghostface Killah, Sharon Jones, Lily Allen), Grammy-nominated Adam Berg (Decoders), and Richard Rudolph (Stevie Wonder, Minnie Riperton, A Tribe Called Quest, 2Pac, Chaka Kahn, En Vogue). The band previously revealed the groovy love anthem "Being Without You" with Galore. Organic yet electrified, the four-track EP was recorded using a blend of old school 50s/60s techniques and modern technology, bringing out the authentic tones of the instruments yet delivering an explosive sound.Share New Single "My Love" w/ Dork
