TR/ST Signs Worldwide Publishing Deal With Third Side Music

TR/ST has signed a worldwide deal with Third Side Music.

Starting out in 2010 as a dark pop duo consisting of Robert Alfons and Austra's Maya Postepski, TR/ST went on to receive a Juno Award nomination for Electronic Album of The Year, alongside Grimes and Purity Ring in 2013. As of 2014, and with the release of sophomore LP Joyland, TR/ST became the acclaimed solo endeavor of Los Angeles-based Alfons.

Five years later, Alfons's TR/ST announced two-part album entitled The Destroyer, of which Alfons reunited with Postepski (on six of the LP's songs) as well as teaming up with co-producers Lars Stalfors and Damian Taylor to redefine the album's sound. Part One of The Destroyer is due out April 19th, 2019 with the second to follow this November.

"Robert's unparalleled songwriting is really just the tip of the TR/ST ice burg in our eyes," explains Third Side Music's Director of A&R, Brontë Jane. "He's an all-encompassing artist, one who takes a visceral, multi-disciplinary approach to everything he touches. We are thrilled to now be a part of his world."

"I just want to express my excitement to be a part of this publishing family and to share my creations with everyone," says Alfons.

TR/ST joins the independent music publisher's existing roster of Sofi Tukker, Broods, BadBadNotGood, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Flying Lotus, Courtney Barnett, Blonde Redhead, Kurt Vile, Colin Stetson, The Cinematic Orchestra, and more.
