Austin, TX based teen rock trio Residual Kid announce today that they will hit the road for a tour supporting Detroit garage-rock veterans Electric Six. The tour, which visits cities in the U.S. and Canada, kicks off on March 16th in Illinois and continues through mid-April. Tickets are on sale now HERE.
Residual Kid, which is 18-year-old singer and guitarist Deven Ivy, and two brothers, 16-year-old bassist Max and 18-year-old drummer Ben Redman, released their debut EP, Salsa, in April. The Austin Chronicle called it "four tracks of grungy punk with hints of No Wave and Noise." In November, they released a two-song digital bundle - The Volcom Sessions - featuring two new songs, "Lightspeed" and "Tidal Wave," which were recorded live at the Volcom studio in Costa Mesa, CA, last summer. Residual Kid also won the "Best Punk Band" award at last year's Austin Music Awards at SXSW.
