Newcomer Vince Youngs Releases New Single MY TURN Available Now

Modesto-based newcomer Vince Youngs rolls like a freight train through "My Turn." A surefire hit with a pounding groove, raw guitar hook and Vince's formidable vocals - the performance offers equal parts Rock, Country and Blues, all contoured to his deep down-home twang. The release is impacting Country radio now - and the companion video goes live today. Available to radio via Play MPE and to fans oniTunes, Amazon and CDBaby, this is Youngs' debut single - and the title track from his upcoming EP.

"My Turn," was written by former Exile founding member/B-3 player extraordinaire Bernie Faulker and Keith Harling. Recorded at The Sound Kitchen with Faulkner at the helm, A-List players proved their worth on a track that shouts with energy. Grounded by Brian Allen's bass and Wes Little's drums, Greg Bieck shines on keyboards, while Mike Durham shreds the guitar. Ron Wallace adds his distinctive background vocals to the sing-along chorus - and helps create an anthem for fans of today's New Country. The outing is a tribute to the raw outlaw sound of icons Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings, and to this generation's superstars, Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan.

The visually-arresting black and white video, directed by Michael Giancana of Paradestormer Productions ("Texas Road," "Baby Blues," "Making It In Music City"), features tight shots in a "neon honkytonk" and early morning exterior shots of Vince dancing on the asphalt of the bar's parking lot. Gritty, realistic and pulsing with bare-bones energy, the clip is a punch-in-the-gut attention-grabber that takes hold and doesn't let go.

The Modesto, California native is a country boy, raised in a house surrounded by five acres of gently rolling, sun-drenched pastureland. After four years as a U.S. Marine and time spent as a semi-pro baseball player, with a brief foray into retail sales, Youngs is now pursuing a career in music. It's something the soft-spoken, semi-shy "nice guy" never considered - until a friend put him on stage not long ago and handed him a microphone. For Vince, it was like coming home ... or finding an alter ego. Once in the spotlight, he found the drive to make his own music, and he hasn't stopped pursuing that goal since the night of his epiphany. Raised in a devout household, he was exposed initially only to Christian music, both at home and at the church his family attended. Vince discovered Country music and soon learned to love both the raw outlaw sound of the past as well as those who sing to his generation. A world-class line and swing dancer (who still teaches both styles even now), Vince is currently busy writing, putting the final touches to his upcoming debut EP - and living his newly-found honky-tonk dream.
