Swedish songstress Frida Sundemo arrives today with her highly anticipated international debut album Flashbacks & Futures via leading Scandinavian record label, Cosmos Music. From the opening Pet Shop Boyish title track right through to the teary, fearful album closer 'Astronaut', Flashbacks & Futures is where Hans Zimmer meets Boys Noize. STREAM/DOWNLOAD HERE

Like a trip to another planet, the albums dewy production and expansive synths have garnered praise from the likes of Paste Magazine, FADER, The Line of Best Fit, Idolator, Clash Music, Billboard and more.

Explaining the influence of space Frida says, "First of all, I love the way I feel when my mind is set on space. It's like I enter this place beyond time where you're free to create whatever you like. I feel that I'm allowed to think and create much bigger than I usually do."

She continues, "Second, I'm struck by the beauty of it. You'd never need a filter to make a photo of outer space to pop. I'm also in love with all kind of sci-fi movies taking place in space. Everything from 2001: A Space Odyssey to The Martian or Interstellar."

Elsewhere on the record the pulsating undulations of the anthemic hit-in-the-making 'Stay Young' and the arresting sparseness of tracks such as 'Circles' and 'To The End And Back', further develop the sound that Frida and producer Joel Humlén have been making their own over the past few years.

Frida Sundemo has created a debut of otherworldly beauty and one that is set to meet the expectations for one of the most highly anticipated albums to be coming out of Scandinavia this year.

Frida Sundemo released Dear, Let It Out exclusively in Japan in 2010, with its lead single 'Towers' becoming a No.1 radio smash. Two years later she began to create music with producer/songwriter Joel Humlén, and together they spawned the critically acclaimed EPs Indigo in 2013 and 2014's Lit Up By Neon.

Frida's profile rose even further in 2015 when she made her Hollywood acting debut with a leading role in the big screen adaption of John Niven's Kill Your Friends, alongside stars including Nicholas Hoult and James Corden.

In the film Frida fronted the A&R-hounded collective The Lazies, where she performed her highly praised single 'Heroes', and also had two further new songs feature in the soundtrack. Her irresistible music has lit up the small screen too in recent months with the delicate 'Keep An Eye On Me' featured in Grey's Anatomy, while the uplifting 'You' premiered with Scream Queens.
