New Christmas Song by Michael E. Dansicker Gets Premieres in NYC, San Francisco, Dec 2012

THERE IS NO MRS. Santa Claus!, with words and music by Michael E. Dansicker (BMI), will receive its West Coast premiere with The San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus. The 275-member ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Timothy Seelig, will feature the song in their annual Santa Concert at Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco on Thursday, December 6 at 8 pm. Subsequent performances are at the Castro Theatre on Monday, December 24 at 5 pm, 7 pm, and 9 pm. For ticket information, visit sfgmc.org.

On the East Coast, The Boston Gay Men's Chorus, under the direction of Reuben M. Reynolds III, will premiere the song in "Hallelujah" - their 2012 Christmas Concert. The 175-voice ensemble will appear at New England Conservatory's Jordan Hall on Sunday, December 9 at 3 pm; Friday, December 14 at 8 pm; Saturday, December 15 at 8 pm; and Monday, December 17 at 8 pm. Kevin David Thomas (Les Mis, Rebecca) will deliver the cabaret premiere of the song in NYC during "Keep the Home Fires Burning: A Very Manderly Holiday" at 54 Below on Monday, December 3 at 9:30 pm. While known for his work on Broadway (Piaf, Good, Singin' In The Rain, Dance of the Vampires, The Times They Are A-Changin', Little House on the Prairie, etc.); in Hollywood ("Meet the Parents," "Analyze That," "Brain Donors," etc.); and in concert dance (abt, tharp, joffrey); Mr. Dansicker is no stranger to Christmas Music. Michael served as musical consultant/vocal supervisor (and can be heard on the soundtrack) of the classic holiday favorite ELF (New Line Cinema) starring Will Ferrell and Zooey Deschanel.
