Though he is undoubtedly one of the UK's greatest living songwriters, Michael Head may not be a name that is immediately familiar, however his influence is extensive and his music, sublime.

Head formed The Pale Fountains in early eighties Liverpool with younger brother John. Producing timeless orchestral pop, The Pale Fountains delivered two critically acclaimed, but commercially ignored LPs before splitting, with the brothers going on to form a new band, Shack. What followed is a story of mesmerising music, personal tragedy and a man seemingly out of step with an industry unaccustomed to dealing with musicians disinterested in becoming pop stars.

Eleven years since the release of his last album 'On The Corner Of Miles And Gil' released on Noel Gallagher's Sour Mash label, Michael Head is in the studio again, adding the finishing touches to what is rumoured to be his most accomplished album yet. 'Adiós Señor Pussycat' will be launched in the coming weeks and released in summer 2017, preceeded by a single. Both will be released on Head's own Violette Records.
