Mary Gatchell will be performing her great music with her NYC band at the new Leddy Center at Verdant Pastures on Ladd's Lane in Epping, NH, Friday evening, October 12, at 7:30pm.
Mary Gatchell is a dynamic singer, pianist, and composer living in New York City. With four albums to her credit, she has played in legendary clubs such as the Blue Note, Birdland, Bitter End, CBGB's, Knitting Factory, Boston House of Blues, Ryles, and many more.

From Epping, New Hampshire, Mary cultivated her musical talents in voice, piano, and oboe gaining a solid foundation from her parents, both musicians. At 18, she moved to New York City to attend New York University. The city exposed her to all kinds of music, which significantly inspired her to write and explore different sounds and rhythms. While continuing to study voice, piano, and oboe at NYU, she graduated Magna Cum Laude, earning her degree in theory and composition, having studied with composers Jim McNeely and Justin Dello Joio. She has written several pieces, not only for her own group made up of a traditional rock band instrumentation, but also for orchestra, choir, and chamber ensembles.

Joining Mary is Ken Dow on bass. Ken has played both upright and electric bass for over twenty years, touring all over the world playing with distinguished artists including Brian May & Roger Taylor of Queen, Ray Manzarek and Robbie Krieger of The Doors, Peter Sprague (Chick Corea, Al Jarriqu), Sara & Sean Watkins of Grammy Award-winning Nickel Creek, Rodney Holmes
(Santana, Joe Zawinul, Randy Brecker) and Chris Thompson (NanfiEd Mann’s Earth Band, lead vocalist on international hit “Blinded by the Light”), (toto), Mike Keneally (Frank Zappa), Cliff Almond (Michel Camilo, Patti LaBelle, The Manhattan Transfer), Roy Hargrove, and Eric Marienthal (Chick Corea). Ken currently performs with the Broadway hit Jersey Boys, winner of the 2006 Grammy Award for Platinum-selling Best Original Cast Album as well as four Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Ken has worked with international film and theatre stars Billy Crystal, John Goodman, Grace Jones, Eartha Kitt, David Norona (Six Feet Under) and Billy Zane.

Craig Magnano will be on guitar! Craig came to NYC to study and earn his Masters Degree from the Manhattan School of Music. He has played for Broadway shows such as Jersey Boys, Wicked, Spiderman, The Lion King, Hairsprsay, Spring Awakening, Next to Normal and Ghost as well as touring and playing in many clubs around the world with his band and as a sideman.

Adam Jackson will be on drums! The product of a musically gifted family, at the age of two, Adam Jackson cut his teeth playing drums and singing Gospel music at church. After graduating high school, he moved to New York City to attend The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music where he studied with Jazz greats Nasheet Waits, Billy Hart, Carl Allen, Ari Hoenig, Cecil Bridgewater, Billy Harper, and Buster Williams. A professional musician, Adam has had the pleasure of working with platinum recording group Destiny’s Child, Grammy-nominated Emily King, is currently playing for Atlantic recording artist Laura Izibor, and works on Tony Award winning musical Memphis. Along with Mary Gatchell, he is also proud to be working with Grace Weber, Takuya Karoda, Dani Elliot, Orly, The Hipstones, Zack Borer, and Cristina Taddanio.
