Maro Music Releases 'Shake Di Bom (Addicted To Music)'

Scintillating. Naughty. Wild. By the time the verb twerk entered the American lexicon, all hell had already broken loose around the moves inspired by dancehall culture. Maro Music's "Shake Di Bom" (Addicted To Music) is out now. Like a force-of-nature, "Shake Di Bom" takes a battering ram to the world of pop music with its depiction of women fully owning their sexuality to the point their dancing becomes athletic competition. The track has anthem potential as it aims to cross-over from the underground dancehall ethos to mainstream society. And though mainstream pop stars like Diplo have incorporated twerking into their glitzy Las Vegas nightclub shows, there's nothing quite like twerking when performed by a competitive dancer. (A note to those less skilled at the booty-shaking dance moves: If you're not a boss at twerking, please refrain from attempting it in public. Someone is liable to get hurt.)

He has served as a judge for the Audio Engineering Society's modern music and sound engineering contest at the annual AES conventions in New York City, Berlin, Hungary and Warsaw. Maro Music has released music as the producer for MXF alongside DJ Frodo. Maro Music's solo mixes have landed him consistently in the "top 5" charts on Mixcloud. In 2011, Walaszek founded Bettermaker, an award-winning, critically acclaimed manufacturer of professional-grade mixing and mastering hardware and software built for professional musicians and audio engineers.
