MALIKA has certainly earned her seat at the table of artists to watch - Saint Heron
Making a solid return earlier this year with the original single, London-based singer/songwriter MALIKA now reveals her captivating acoustic version for 'Run'. The stripped back rendition showcases MALIKA's vocal range and heightens anticipation for the release of her debut EP Songs About C, due to drop in early August.
While the original track is produced by Bodhi, the acoustic version allows MALIKA to lead with her powerful, controlled runs. Laced with lush harmonies and soulful falsettos, this new version perfectly exhibits the extent of the singer's talent. An effortless, passionate rendition that brings a new meaning to the song's emotional message.
In April, MALIKA released her second single 'Run', which gained strong support from the likes of BBC Radio 1Xtra, Capital Xtra and Kiss FM. Last year, 'Put It On Me' quickly established MALIKA as one of the most sought after voices by producers. Recruited by Snakehips, she featured on their Money On MeEP as the alluring vocal behind their track 'Falling', which led to a selected range of live performances with the duo during their tour at the end of last year.
As she continues to enthral audiences, MALIKA looks set to solidify her spot as one of the leading voices of progressive R&B in 2017.
