Ms. Danza's music is innovative and the result is the creation of a new idiom in music. She infuses beautiful flowing melodies and creative improvised lines with effortless mastery. Lola's music and compositions encompass myriad musical styles that span the world: from Asia to Latin America and including the influences of classical, jazz, contemporary American, gypsy, folk, and Flamenco music. Written with intensity and honesty, the songs are spiritual, her lyrics sheer poetry filled with insight that everyone can relate to and understand. Ms. Danza has performed with world renowned jazz artists such as Ornette Coleman, Steve Kuhn, Lewis Nash, Bob Moses, John Lockwood, Ben Monder, Mat Maneri, Dave Tronzo, Bob Gullotti, Luciana Souza and Leni Stern.

Lola Danza has a Bachelors Degree from Berklee College of Music and a Masters Degree from Aaron Copland School of Music.

Currently-- Ms. Danza is returning to the recording studio for two different recordings that will be released by the winter of 2011. She will be recording at Bill Laswell's studio. One album is a recording of her favorite Jazz Standard tunes the other recording project is an album which will include all of Ms. Danza's original compositions.
