Singer/songwriter/producer Lisa Dawn Miller -the daughter of the late hit Motown songwriter Ron Miller- debuts two new holiday tracks this season entitled, "A Christmas Truce" and "A New Year."
Available on iTunes, Amazon, YouTube and Spotify, "A Christmas Truce" is about the historical Christmas Truce of 1914 during World War I, when soldiers put down their weapons, crossed enemy lines and stopped fighting for one day to share Christmas together."I was very inspired when my partner, Mark Matson, suggested that we write a song about the Christmas Truce of 1914. The story of love and humanity is a timeless one," Lisa said. "To think that during the darkest days, soldiers found peace and solace in one moment of love and humanity. There are so many lessons for us all. I was compelled to write about it," she continued."A New Year" is an empowering song about starting the New Year, being ready to take on new challenges and realizing your dreams. It is also available on iTunes, Amazon,YouTube and Spotify. "A new year can begin on any day of the year for those who want to start anew. My partner and I saw a show called, "My 600-Lb. Life," about morbidly obese people struggling to lose weight to save their lives. Their long journeys are documented for a year as they work with expert, Dr. Younan Nowzaradan," Miller said.
