LEAH CULVER--EDM singer-songwriter, producer and DJ--released her infectious new dance single "Ex Is A Loser" on Friday (6/10) via TuneCore, to preview herdebut EP Radiance coming out later this summer. Impacting Dance and Pop radio beginning June 21st, listen to "Ex Is A Loser" here.

To coincide with the track's release, CULVER partnered exclusively with one of the leading pop culture websites, Popdust, to premiere the track, who declared it "The Ultimate Kiss-Off Banger." Popdust adds: "Leah Culver's name rolls off the tongue as easily as her venomous new banger 'Ex is a Loser'...we can certainly all agree there, for sure. It's as if Kesha, Katy Perry and Zedd had a lovechild. The track is a hefty club track and stomps on the pedal right out of the gate...Song of the summer? (Hint: yes is the only appropriate answer here.)"

"'Ex Is A Loser' was a lot of fun," says CULVER. "I think it has a very universal and relatable message and I hope that it can help people get through their break ups! Had tons of fun with this one!"

Born and raised in Atlanta, 25-year-old CULVER (formerly MK Ultra) is electronic dance music's new light, as a dynamic presence for the dance floor, personally cultivating her music from scratch and then giving it a voice. As a singing DJ and multi-instrumentalist (guitar and drums), CULVER is in a really small niche of performers. "Ex is a Loser" follows several one-off releases and collaborative tracks, including Twofold's "Taken Back."

Beyond racking up 1 million cumulative Soundcloud plays and an impressive social media following, CULVER has shined on stages such as TomorrowWorld,Counterpoint, Magnetic, Impulse and Imagine Festival, among others. She's garnered support from the likes of Adventure Club, The Chainsmokers, Steve Aoki, Benny Benassi, Porter Robinson, Seven Lions, Borgore, Big K.R.I.T., Trinidad James and countless others. In 2015, she was awarded "Best Local Electronic Act" by her hometown's alt-weekly, Creative Loafing Atlanta.

Born and raised in Atlanta, Leah grew up in a house literally filled with music as mom played bagpipes and drums, Dad rocked the didgeridoo, and her older brother would DJ drum 'n' bass. Initially, she gravitated towards guitar, drums, and the microphone, drawing from influences as diverse as Lady Gaga and Paramore, all the way to Slipknot. She played with various friends locally, but her formal entry into music proved serendipitous in 2011.

"I was working for a promotion company," she recalls. "The promoter said, 'There are no female DJs in Atlanta.' I was just fing with him, but I was like, 'I'm a female DJ.' He replied, 'Okay, you're booked for Wednesday.' That happened to be EDM's biggest night in the city at the time. I was living with some other DJs, and I took what I knew rhythmically as a drummer and learned as much as I could that week. The show ended up being so crazy they booked me again!"

Under her original moniker MK Ultra, Leah carved out a fervent local following through countless high-energy sets in the area rife with just the right amount of jumping and head-banging. Soon, she'd start landing festival slots even incorporating a full band. In the midst of gigging, she relocated to Brooklyn and further immersed herself in the music. "I spent so much time in New York really diving into what this vision was," she goes on. "It's about giving everybody an experience."

That's what she does on the 2015 track "Powerlines." With its shimmering production and heavenly vocal, she immediately enchants. "It's about finding your own strength and being the light you need in the darkness," she explains.

Now operating bicoastal between New York and L.A., Leah is ready to really shine as her music and message continue to spread. "Whether you hear me or see me, I want you to feel uplifted and inspired," she leaves off. "That's what this is all about."
