Lady Gaga to Release 'Born This Way' Album in May

According to Billboard, Lady Gaga will release "Born This Way," the follow-up album to her debut, "The Fame," on May 23, 2011. The album's title track and first single will premiere on Feb. 13.

Gaga announced the release dates by posting a phto of "Born This Way's" artwork on Twitter with the caption, "THE SONG 2 13 11 THE RECORD 5 23 11."

The image features a bottomless Gaga facing away from the camera in a suggestive pose, and wearing a jacket with the words "born this way" on the back. You can also see a tattoo on her left thigh, a unicorn with the words "born this way" around its horn.

"This has to be the happiest + most exciting night of my life," Gaga wrote just a few hours before midnight. "You've created this moment. You imagined me. You are, you wrote #bornthisway."

Feb. 13 is also the date of the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards, for which Gaga is nominated in six categories, including album of the year.
