The Bedford Hills based, buzzed about and highly acclaimed intergenerational rock band, JAZMO, will perform its first concert at the new Cutting Room (44 East 32nd Street - between Park & Madison) on Monday, September 16th.

The concert begins at 8:00pm. Doors open for food and drink at 6:30pm.

The band, whose members include Jeff Lasdon (vocals/harp/lyrics), Michael O'Keefe (drums/vocals/music), Paul J. Magliari (bass/vocals), Al Orlo (guitar) and Charlie Lagond (saxophone), is currently in the recording studio finishing their first CD.

Both the Cutting Room concert and the new CD will feature the always praised and critically celebrated BIRDY, Downtown's Empress of Song.

JAZMO fully intends to blow the roof off The Cutting Room, as they bedazzle an audience filled with expected record industry czars and the band's impressively expanding fan base.

JAZMO'S roots are firmly planted in the legacy of intergenerational rock and the power of poetry. The band, led by MICHAEL O'KEEFE, was an 80's fixture in such N.Y.C. venues as CBGBs and The Ritz. Cut to 1995. ENTER JEFF LASDON. A retired promoter from Boulder, Colorado, LASDON was eager to share his poetry from his days of study with Beat Poets Allen Ginsberg and William Burroughs. Words hidden away for 30 years were the genesis of a marriage between JAZMO and LASDON, an adopted musically illegitimate child who would eventually morph from wordsmith to songwriter to performer. Call in old friends, renaissance bassist PAUL MAGLIARI, saxophone impresario Charlie Lagond and guitar genius AL ORLO, and JAZMO is a living breathing experiment gone awry! Operatically trained and downtown rock sensation, BIRDY, has given the JAZMO songwriters a true rock 'n roll diva. Songs written expressly for BIRDY are hits waiting to happen. This egg incubated by JAZMO and now ready to crack promises to produce a bird of another feather.
