Former Stranglers front-man Hugh Cornwell hits the road for a series of UK dates from April 6th 2011, performing his critically acclaimed solo album Guilty in its entirety, plus the following Stranglers epics. The Raven, Schoolmaam, Down in the Sewer, Toiler on the Sea, Walk on By and Feel Like a xx will all be performed each evening.
"The idea for this tour came from my fans," says Cornwell. The requests for Guilty haven't stopped since it was first released. Now the fans have heard my interpretation of Rattus, they're demanding to hear the other epics 'a la Hugh'. I can't wait to perform them."
Tickets go on sale from Friday September 17th at 9am by calling the National Ticket Hotline: 0871 230 1101, or book online from www.thegigcartel.com or www.seetickets.com.
As a special bonus to fans, Hugh will perform Fan Choice Encores which can be voted for at www.hughcornwell.com. The five songs with the most votes will end the evening.
20 VIP Tickets are available for each date and will enable fans the chance to watch and interact with Hugh before and after the soundcheck, where they will be given an exclusively recorded album entitled Your Covered - limited to 250 copies and signed personally on the night by Hugh.

Hugh Cornwell is one of the UK's finest song-writing talents and accomplished live performers. The original guitarist, singer and main songwriter in The Stranglers enjoyed massive UK and European success with ten hit albums and twenty-one top forty singles, etching himself into the UK's musical psyche with Peaches, No More Heroes, Golden Brown, Always the Sun, Grip, Nice N Sleazy, Duchess, Walk on By, Strange Little Girl and Skin Deep.
Cornwell has released eight solo albums, most recently Hooverdam, produced and mixed in Toerag Studios by Liam Watson, known for the Grammy winning White Stripes' Elephant.
Hooverdam is available as a high-quality free download in twelve languages from his own website, bringing Cornwell's music free to the world's population. It's available as a triple-sleeved digipak featuring both CD and live studio performance DVD Blueprint, in one exclusive package. The album is also issued on vinyl.
With the masterpiece Hooverdam available as a free download, Cornwell breaks new ground and proves himself again to be a unique force in British music.
New Songs for King Kong, a limited edition "live" double CD and vinyl recorded on the last UK tour, featuring Hooverdam and The Stranglers first album Rattus Norvegicus 1V in their entirety, is available exclusively from Cornwell's website.
"Hooverdam is the cousin to Lou Reed's storming 1988 LP New York.
It's a very coherent album with a timeless quality."
- Record Collector
"Cornwell remains a hugely popular & prolific performer whose songwriting retains its fiery eloquence and whose gigs still crackle with electricity"
- Classic Rock
