Grammy-winner Carlos Vives Nominated for First Billboard Music Award

As announced by Billboard.com, Carlos Vives' international smash "La Bicicleta" (feat. Shakira) has garnered the Colombian superstar his first-ever Billboard Music Award nomination for "Top Latin Song". The song received "Record of the Year" and "Song of the Year" at the 2016 Latin Grammy Awards, and has over 853 million views on YouTube and over 200 million streams on Spotify.

Vives kicks off his US tour this Saturday, April 15 at New York's Radio City Music Hall, followed by a stop at the Rosemont Theatre in Chicago on Sunday, April 16 (see full list of tour dates below). Vives recently released "Al Filo de tu Amor", the second single from his highly anticipated forthcoming album "Vives", which is slated for a fall release.

The 2x Grammy, 11x Latin Grammy award-winning pioneer of vallenato pop has sold over 20 million albums worldwide, and continues to be one of the most important and respected figures in Latin music. Vives' last two albums, "Corazón Profundo" y "Mas + Corazón Profundo," have generated six No. 1s on the Billboard Latin Airplay chart and his "Mas + Corazón Profundo Tour" in Colombia was the most successful tour in the history of the country with more than 200,000 fans filling stadiums in five different concerts.
