Gallo Center Adds B.B. King, The Piano Guys & More Performances to Lineup

By: Nov. 27, 2013

Blues legend B. B. King and You Tube sensations The Piano Guys are among six shows the Gallo Center for the Arts has added to its 2013-2014 season schedule. Tickets for all of the events are on sale now.

King, best known for his cross-over hit, "The Thrill is Gone," and considered by many fans the "King of the Blues," will appear Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 7:30 pm. Tickets range in price from $49 to $99. The Piano Guys, who play 'mash-up' arrangements combining rock, classical and other musical genres, are returning almost exactly one year after selling our two shows at the Gallo Center. They will perform two shows again, at 2 pm and 8 pm on Saturday, June 28, 2014, with tickets from $19 to $69.

The other four shows are:

Mexican pop star Cristina Eustace, who came to prominence after winning the fifth season of "Objetivo Fama," a Puerto Rican television singing talent contest in the form of a reality show. Her performance is Saturday, March 1, 2014, at 8 pm, and tickets are $19 - $59.

The San Francisco Scottish Fiddlers, a 50-member ensemble backed by piano, drums, cellos, guitars and harps. Led by Scottish master fiddler Alasdair Fraser, the group will perform at 2 pm on Sunday, April 13, 2014. Tickets range in price from $15 to $39.

Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, the iconic country music performers famed for hits including "Mr. Bojangles" and "Will the Circle Be Unbroken." The band will appear Friday, April 25, 2014 at 8 pm. Tickets are $20 to $50.

Dr. Eben Alexander III, the author of "Proof of Heaven: A Neurosurgeon's Journey through the Afterlife," who will speak about his near death experiences that occurred after a mysterious illness and coma. Dr. Alexander will be at the Gallo Center at 8 pm on Friday, June 20, 2014. Tickets are $19 to $69.

Tickets for these performances may be purchased online at www.galloarts.org, by calling (209) 338-2100, or from the Gallo Center ticket office at 1000 I Street in downtown Modesto.
