Brooklyn-born singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Gabriel Garzón-Montano is set to release his debut album Jardín on January 27 via Stones Throw Records. Today, he shares "The Game," available now on all digital retailers. Speaking exclusively with FADER, he comments:
"We all play the game. We can make the best of it and we can make the worst of it. I wrote this as a reminder not to take myself so seriously. It's easy to grow solemn and boring! This song says be brave and show your joy and give your love. Have a heart like a tangerine. You don't have to lose the game." Last month Garzón-Montano shared "Sour Mango" - a hypnotic blend of hard-hitting drums, ethereal strings, and impressionist piano chords that show how his formidable skills have come to fruition since the release of his widely acclaimed 2014 debut EP, Bishouné: Alma del Huila. As he gears up for the release of Jardín, Gabriel has announced a NYC album release show on January 26th and UK/EU tour dates in February - full date listing below.
