Experimental Pop Artist Gazel Announces London Headline Show

Genre-blending British/Turkish songwriter and producer Gazel has announced a headline show at London's Paper Dress Vintage on May 1st, ahead of her slot at Liverpool Sound City on May 4th.

Performing tracks from her upcoming debut album Gazel's Book Of Souls, the shows promise to be an immersive visual and sonic spectacle featuring a transcendent mixture of music and spoken word elements which complement the narrative of the album.

Gazel's Book Of Souls follows the story of Gazel, who seeks to find the cause of a mysterious fire which destroyed her village, and in the process encounters a variety of 'souls' who dwell in our collective unconscious, each of which is represented by a different track on the album. Influenced by both eastern mysticism and the folk music of her Middle-Eastern roots, the album is an eclectic and captivating blend of subtle electronica, folk and pop.

The announcement follows the release of Gazel's first two singles, 'Pointing At The Moon', and 'Mina's Hymn', and comes after she was included in Glastonbury Festival's Emerging Talent longlist for 2019.

Following an incredible show at London's St Pancras Old Church in February and having previously performed sold-out shows at venues including the Borderline, The Waiting Room and Birthdays, the shows will be a captivating and unique experience, not to be missed.
