Warner Bros. Records recording artist Eric Hutchinson will kick off "The Almost Solo Tour" on October 15th at San Francisco's Great American Music Hall. The series of special acoustic evenings will take place at intimate venues across the U.S., with audiences seated up close to Eric and his longtime band member, multi-instrumentalist Elliott Blaufuss. Special guest Jessie Payo will open on most dates. They will play three shows in Hutchinson's hometown of New York City: City Winery on October 29th and Joe's Pub on November 2nd and 3rd. Tickets go on sale this Friday and Saturday, September 14 and 15. See below for itinerary.

"When I was starting out, I would play rooms that let me get so personal with the audience - that feeling is totally energizing," says Hutchinson. "On the Almost Solo Tour, we're going to strip the songs to their roots, share some stories, and get up close and personal!"

Eric will do a live Twitter chat about "The Almost Solo Tour" tomorrow, September 12th, at 6:00 PM ET.

"The Almost Solo Tour" follows Hutchinson's 50-date U.S. headline run, which included sold-out shows at such venues as New York City's Highline Ballroom (two nights), Los Angeles' Troubadour, First Avenue in Minneapolis and the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC.

"By the encores, the whole place was standing for 'Rock & Roll' and a frenetic take on "The Basement," where Hutchinson & Co. were in old-school rock 'n' soul revue mode," said the Orange County Register in a review of one of his sold-out California shows. The Aquarian Weekly noted: "There is something wholly original and 21st century to Hutchinson's stripped down approach" while the Charlottesville Daily Progress advised: "if you're on the fence about whether or not to go out tonight after a hectic week, drop by YouTube and check out his video for 'Watching You Watch Him.' There's just enough of a Buddy Holly bop in it to give you the energy back to hop off the fence, grab your keys and head out - if you can stop dancing in the living room, that is."

Moving Up Living Down - produced by Mike Elizondo (Eminem, Regina Spektor) and Martin Terefe (Jason Mraz, James Morrison) - recently debuted in the Top 30 of The Billboard 200 after Hutchinson's appearances on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "Late Show with David Letterman" and "Live From Daryl's House." Lead single "Watching You Watch Him" became aTop 10 AAA/Top 20 Hot AC hit and was tapped by iTunes as "Single of the Week" while the accompanying video was added by VH1. Hutchinson's full-length debut, Sounds Like This, rocketed onto Billboard's Heatseekers chart at No. 1 in 2007 and has sold more than 250,000 units. It yielded three radio hits - the Gold-certified "Rock & Roll," which hit No. 1 at Triple A, and the Top 5 singles "OK, It's Alright With Me" and "Oh!"
