The Rick Taylor Band with Special Guest Grammy Nominated Claire Lynch for a the concert 'A Benefit for the Johnny Stallings Arts Program' on Saturday, October 12 at 7:30 pm.
This benefit concert will support The Johnny Stallings Arts Program and will support the release of Rick's newest album, A Journey to Here. Rick's original music is best described as the folk side of bluegrass with an early country music influence. Rick is joined by accomplished musicians Jim Wood, Phil Easterbrook and Joseph Brown in his all acoustic performance. Jim is the five-time Tennessee Fiddling Champion and this performance will include a lecture/demonstration from Jim on the fiddle.
Also joining Rick is acclaimed storyteller Bruce Walkerand of course, the incomparable two-time Grammy-nominated Claire Lynch, former backup vocalist for Dolly Parton. Dolly has described Claire as "one of the sweetest, purest and best lead voices in the music business today."

All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Merrimack Hall's Johnny Stallings Arts Program (JSAP) for people with special needs. JSAP serves more than 400 children, teens and adults with special needs through a variety of classes, special events and public performances.
