GCAPP (Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Power & Potential) founded by the legendary Jane Fonda in 1995, will celebrate "Eight Decades of Jane" at an intimate fundraiser in celebration of Fonda's 80th birthday.

Guests expected to attend include: Jane Fonda, James Taylor, Carole King, Lily Tomlin, Sally Field, Diane Lane, Rosie O'Donnell, Ted Turner, Wanda Sykes, Sam Waterston, Troy Garity and Paula Weinstein.

Join GCAPP, Fonda's Atlanta-based, 22-year-old, statewide teen pregnancy prevention and adolescent health organization, for a one-of-a-kind event in celebration of its founder, a birthday celebration for the ages. Celebrity guests as well as friends across the philanthropic, business and entertainment communities will come together to acknowledge and honor the impact Jane has had on so many young lives. James Taylor and Carole King will perform.

Alex Waters, renowned chef and restaurateur (Chez Panisse) is preparing an eight-course menu, each course representing a decade of Fonda's life.

GCAPP's mission is to improve the overall health and well-being of young people in Georgia. GCAPP's three program areas are teen pregnancy prevention, nutrition/physical activity, and healthy adolescent relationships. Fonda founded GCAPP in 1995 when Georgia had the highest teen birth and teen pregnancy rate in country. At the core of GCAPP's work is giving young people the knowledge, skills, and motivation they need to make good healthy choices. Since the founding of GCAPP, Georgia has seen a 64% decline in teen births. This means thousands more teenagers in Georgia are getting accurate information; more are making the choice to delay sex or use contraceptives; more are finishing high school (teen pregnancy is the #1 reason girls drop out of high school); and more young people will have a better chance of escaping poverty, making a living wage and get on a more firm path to long-term success.

The event is set for Saturday, December 9th at 7 p.m. at The Ritz Carlton Buckhead, 3434 Peachtree Rd NE, Legacy Ballroom, Atlanta, GA 30326.

For more information about GCAPP and how you can get involved, visit www.gcapp.org. Honoring gifts to benefit GCAPP start at $10,000 for two tickets to the event and corporate sponsorships starts at $15,000. For more information about the event, visit www.gcapp.org/celebratingjane.

Reaching more than 40,000 young people a year, the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Power & Potential's mission is to improve the overall health and well-being of young people in Georgia. GCAPP believes that if our most vulnerable young people make it through adolescence unencumbered by teen pregnancy, physically healthy and are supported by nurturing relationships, they will be much better positioned to tap into their boundless potential.
