Brent Cobb's new video for "Let The Rain Come Down" is premiering today at Rolling Stone and can now be viewed/shared HERE. Rolling Stone praises, "Brent Cobb brings the thunder...It's a lean, mean performance." This is the latest video released as part of the acclaimed"Elektra Sessions Live" series and was filmed at Memphis' legendary Sam Phillips Studio. Watch previously released videos for "Black Crow" and "Shine On Rainy Day" HERE.
"Let The Rain Come Down" is from Brent's critically praised major label debut album, Shine On Rainy Day, which is now available on Low Country Sound/Elektra Records (purchase here),
In continued celebration of the release, Brent will tour extensively in 2017 including a special show tonight at ACM Party For A Cause in Las Vegas. Additionally, Brent will join Chris Stapleton as a special guest on over 30 dates this year and, later this spring, will embark on the Stagecoach Spotlight Tour with Jamey Johnson and Margo Price. Moreover, this September, he'll open several shows as part of Tim McGraw and Faith Hill's SOUL2SOUL Tour. See below for complete tour details.
Earlier this year, Brent visited NPR Music for a Tiny Desk Concert. The full concert can be viewed/shared here. Of the performance, NPR's music Lars Gotrich praises, "precisely crafted phrases amid simple-yet-rich melodies...the words shimmer like a tall glass of sweet tea in the late-morning sun when he strings together a particularly consonant phrase..."

Of the music and working with producer (and cousin) Dave Cobb, Brent comments, "It's not as good as it's going to get. But if it's the last thing that I ever do, if I died the day after it came out, then thank God I was able to record it because the songs and the production, it was everything I wanted to say. Finally."

Dave adds, "I wanted to work with Brent for very selfish reasons. When he lifts a pen and opens his mouth, it sounds like home. I did his record because he's part of the fabric of South Georgia and the soundtrack to my family. Pure rural country soul filled music."

Born in Ellaville, GA (population 1,609), Brent moved to Nashville in 2008 and has since found widespread success as a writer with songs recorded by Lambert ("Old s"), Kenny Chesney ("Don't It"), Luke Bryan ("Tailgate Blues"), David Nail ("Grandpa's Farm"), Kellie Pickler ("Rockaway") and Eli Young Band ("Go Outside and Dance") among others.
