Big Eyes Release Their Psychedelic New Video For HOURGLASS Today via BrooklynVegan

Following the announcement of their upcoming tour and album release, Big Eyes have dropped their energizing new single "Hourglass" today via Brooklyn Vegan. Taking on a more psychedelic visual approach, the video encapsulates the driving snare and dual guitars emanating throughout the tune. Of the single, the band describes it as being about "coming to terms with the fact that you won't ever be with someone you are pining for."

In addition, Big Eyes' forthcoming album explores new territory for Kait and the band. Sonically, one can expect Kait to plant quite a few new musical trees, as she lyrically branches out with her subject-matter. "This (album) enabled me to tackle some heavier topics than those on our previous albums, which had mostly consisted of my own personal experiences," Kait said. Now writing in different perspectives, consider the latest offering layers of an onion falling off.

With ten years of experience, Big Eyes have mastered the fusion of hard rock with pounding punk. The Ridenour brothers, with Paul on guitar and back-up vocals and Jess on bass, partnered with Scott McPherson on drums, produce sharp instrumentals for Kait Eldridge's pop-melody sensibility. Taking inspiration from their periodical residences in both New York and the Pacific Northwest, they perform with an outward intensity saturated in emotional retrospect and social commentary.
