Ben Vereen Announces 2010/2011 Tour Dates

Tony Award winner Ben Vereen, who was recently guest starred on How I Met Your Mother and who will be a part of Hartford Stages' reading of Fetch Clay, Make Man (dir. Des McAnuff) in November, has announced his ongoing 2010/2011 concert tour.

The legendary entertainer will open a brand new performing arts center in Vermont, perform alongside the Edmonton Symphony and play historic Town Hall in New York among other dates:

December 3 in New York, NY at Ciprianis for the Boys and Girls Club
December 17 in Los Angeles, CA at Catalina Jazz Club
December 18 in Los Angeles, CA at Catalina Jazz Club
December 27 in Stowe, VT Grand Opening at Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center
February 18 in New York, NY at Town Hall
March 4 in Greenville, SC at Peace Center for the Performing Arts
March 18 in Edmonton, Alberta at Francis Winspear Centre for Music
March 19 in Edmonton, Alberta at Francis Winspear Centre for Music
April 2 in Stuart, FL at Lyric Theatre
April 23 in Topeka, KS at Topeka Performing Arts Center
May 1 in Irvington, NY at Irvington Town Hall Theatre
May 15 in Bayside, NY at Queensboro Performing Arts Center

A Tony Award winner for his renowned performance in Bob Fosse's Pippin, Ben has gone on to solidify his place among Broadway royalty, with starring roles in such Broadway productions as Wicked, Fosse, Chicago, Jesus Christ Superstar, Hair, Jelly's Last Jam, Grind, A Christmas Carol and I'm Not Rappaport. He recently starred in the new play Fetch Clay, Make Man at the McCarter Theatre, directed by Des McAnuff (Jersey Boys). Select film and television credits include How I Met Your Mother, Grey's Anatomy, Roots, Star Trek and All That Jazz.
