BOMBARGO to Perform at Fox Theatre
The Canadian vintage-pop band brings their soul-infused sound to Boulder's Fox Theatre.
Bombargo will bring its Love, In Spite of Everything Tour to Fox Theatre on Thursday, September 24, 2026.
Known for its energetic live performances, sing-along anthems, and uplifting message, the Canadian-based touring band has built an international following with its signature blend of soul-infused vintage pop. The group has earned praise for its high-energy Stage Presence, with frontman Nathan Thoen's dynamic performance style even drawing comparisons to Mick Jagger from Virgin Records founder Sir Richard Branson.
Bombargo was formed after lead vocalist Nathan Thoen and guitarist Spencer Chilliak met and embarked on a spontaneous 16-hour road trip to the Sasquatch Music Festival, where they were inspired to start a band. Their debut single, "Let It Grow," was featured on the EP Back on Main, which was named one of SaskMusic's Top 10 Saskatchewan Albums of 2015.
The group later expanded into a five-piece band featuring Anthony Thoen, Matt Folkersen, Sammy Folkersen, and Niall Cubbon. Since then, Bombargo has continued to grow its audience through touring, streaming success, and festival appearances.
In 2018, the band's single "Mr. No Good" received a major boost when Taylor Swift included it on her Spotify playlist Songs Taylor Loves alongside artists including Ed SHeeran, Camila Cabello, and Kendrick Lamar. The exposure led to coverage from outlets including Billboard, NME, CBC, Exclaim!, Fashion, Noisey, and People.
Bombargo's single "Oxygen" later reached the Canadian Hot AC Top 40, and the band made its U.S. touring debut in 2019 with its 33-date North American Dream Tour. The group has also shared stages with artists including John Butler Trio, Allen Stone, RIPE, and Joel Plaskett, and appeared in the 2020 film Bill & Ted Face the Music.
To date, Bombargo has accumulated more than 10 million streams across digital platforms and more than one million YouTube views, while earning multiple Saskatchewan Music Award nominations.
