Arctic Flowers Share New Single

For nearly a decade Arctic Flowers has been putting a stark chill on the post-punk genre, and on November 30th they will be releasing a new LP titled Straight to the Hunter. You can listen to the brand new track here!

"Not many post-punk bands will throw down a four-on-the-floor drum kick for those about to rock, but then, not many post-punk bands are like Arctic Flowers." says NPR of the new single.

This new record comes two years after their last release, as the band slowed down and really took their time writing it. Guitarist Stan says the reasoning behind that incubation period was "partially just life, but also experimenting and not wanting to make the same record again." As a result, they are set to release a record that somehow is more mature from a band who has always been considered rather grown up.

Before Arctic Flowers formed, Stan (guitar) played in the bands Signal Lost as well as Deathreat, and Alex (vocals) is a former member of VividSekt. They took those experiences and along with Lee (bass) and Clifton (drums), they've built a band that has a melodic eeriness to it. The songs on Hunter are heavy, sharp, littered with haunting melodies, and filled with an emotional depth that comes through in both the lyrics as well as the music.

Straight to the Hunter will be available through Arctic Flowers Records in North America, and Sabotage Records in Europe. A record release show is scheduled for December 8th at the High Water Mark in Portland.
